On 8th March 2018, I represented Econsultancy when I spoke on the Marketing Transformation Stage at Marketing Week Live 2018. I was also invited to facilitate a discussion on the future of research on the main stage of the Insight Show on the same day.
The title of my presentation was Digital Trends 2018, challenges and opportunities for Marketers. The session was designed to provide insight into what Econsultancy sees as digital trends, challenges and opportunities facing marketing, digital and creative leaders in 2018. In particular, I discussed:
- The role of customer experience (CX), data and content in outperforming industry peers
- A look at digital trends and technologies that marketers need to consider in 2018 and beyond
- The role of training and development in creating and agile approach to modern marketing
I always find that I’m nervous before I present but then once I’m on stage, I seem to be able to manage any anxiety that I might have felt beforehand. It’s like doing an impersonation of myself being relaxed on stage! Anyway, the session went well and I received a number of nice LinkedIn messages afterwards from people in attendance saying that they liked what I had to say and seeking to connect. Happy Days!!
